Srinagar, September 10: Chief Spokesperson and MLA Zadibal Tanvir Sadiq today distributed two electric scooters, computers, laptops, a hearing machine and an electric wheelchair among deserving and needy individuals of his constituency at a function held at Doonipora, Zadibal.

Speaking on the occasion, Tanvir Sadiq said it has always been his endeavour to support people in need, particularly educated girls, the elderly, persons with disabilities and families facing financial difficulties.

Sharing the motivation behind the initiative, he said one of the beneficiaries, a girl with a physical disability, required an electric scooter to travel to university. He said he had promised to help her and was pleased to fulfil that commitment.

A computer was also provided to a student for her studies, while another family received an electric scooter to facilitate the daily commute of their children to school. A hearing machine was provided to an elderly person, and an electric wheelchair was given to a young child to enable greater mobility and independence.

Tanvir said such initiatives were close to his heart and assured that he would continue extending support to people wherever possible.

“Sometimes, we have to step forward with our own resources so that people do not have to remain dependent on government schemes or wait for assistance. Even a small gesture can make a meaningful difference to someone’s life,” he said.

He wished all the beneficiaries well and urged them to make the best possible use of the assistance provided.

He further announced that another public assistance programme would be held next week in the Rainawari-Dargah Block.

Several prominent party members and local residents were present at the programme.
