Samba, September 15: The District Administration Samba organised a Mega Plantation Drive today at Shri Jagannath Temple, Budhwani Ground, with the aim of promoting environmental conservation and encouraging greater public participation in creating a greener and cleaner environment.

As per the programme invitation issued by the District Administration, the plantation drive is scheduled for today September 15, 2026, at 10:00 am. The initiative carries the message “For a Greener Tomorrow, Let’s Plant Today!”

The programme is being organised with the participation of the Municipal Council Samba, and residents, social organisations officials and other stakeholders have been invited to actively participate in the plantation campaign.

The initiative is expected to contribute towards increasing green cover in the area while spreading awareness about the importance of trees in maintaining a clean, healthy and sustainable environment.

The administration has appealed to people to come forward and make the plantation drive a success, underlining the message of “More Trees, Cleaner Environment, Healthier Future.”

Prominent among those which participated is Rohit Pargal (Lions Club Samba), Rajnish Pargal, Verinder Slathia, Ajay Singh (Samba Social Club) Rana Pratap Singh alias Butter Paiya, Adv Rahul Sambyal (Youth for Society & Shree Hindu Sangh), Navdeep Sambyal, Neelam Singh, Pardeep Sambyal etc.
