Kathua, September 10: Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rajesh Sharma, Chairman of the Sponsorship Foster Approval Committee (SFAC), today chaired a meeting of the committee to review cases under the Mission Vatsalya initiative.

During the meeting, the committee recommended sponsorship support for 569 eligible children belonging to vulnerable categories, including orphans, children of single parents and specially-abled children.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the need to ensure timely assistance to all eligible children and effective implementation of welfare schemes aimed at supporting their education, care, protection and overall well-being.

He directed for close monitoring of the cases to ensure that all eligible beneficiaries receive the intended support without any delay.

The meeting was attended by the District Social Welfare Officer, Kathua; District Chairperson, Child Welfare Committee; District Coordinator, Special Adoption Agency; and a Member of Muskan Foundation.
