The agitation by intern doctors across Government Medical Colleges (GMCs) in Jammu & Kashmir entered its seventh consecutive day on Sunday, with protesting interns continuing to press for an increase in their monthly stipend.

The intern doctors are demanding that their existing monthly stipend of ₹12,300 be increased to ₹30,000, citing the need for a more appropriate stipend in view of their workload and responsibilities during internship.

The protests are reportedly continuing across Government Medical Colleges in Jammu & Kashmir, with intern doctors maintaining their agitation while seeking intervention from the concerned authorities.

The ongoing protest has brought attention to the financial concerns of medical interns, who are seeking a revision of their stipend. The interns are urging the administration to consider their demand and take an early decision on the matter.
