Day 7 of Protests: Intern Doctors Continue Stipend Hike Agitation Across J&K

The agitation by intern doctors across Government Medical Colleges (GMCs) in Jammu & Kashmir entered its seventh consecutive day on Sunday, with protesting interns continuing to press for an increase in their monthly stipend.

The intern doctors are demanding that their existing monthly stipend of ₹12,300 be increased to ₹30,000, citing the need for a more appropriate stipend in view of their workload and responsibilities during internship.

The protests are reportedly continuing across Government Medical Colleges in Jammu & Kashmir, with intern doctors maintaining their agitation while seeking intervention from the concerned authorities.
