CM Omar Abdullah Hands Over Appointment Orders to Newly Recruited Medical Officers at SKICC


Srinagar, September 2, 2026: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today handed over appointment orders to newly recruited Medical Officers during a ceremony held at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC) in Srinagar.

The appointment orders were formally distributed among the newly selected doctors, marking an important step towards strengthening the healthcare workforce in Jammu and Kashmir.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister congratulated the newly appointed Medical Officers and urged them to discharge their duties with dedication, professionalism and a strong sense of responsibility towards the people.

He emphasized the importance of accessible and quality healthcare services, particularly in remote and underserved areas, and called upon the newly recruited doctors to work with commitment to improve healthcare delivery across the Union Territory.

The recruitment is expected to further augment the medical workforce and contribute towards improving healthcare infrastructure and services in Jammu and Kashmir.

The ceremony was attended by senior government officials, officers of the Health and Medical Education Department, and other dignitaries.
