Anantnag Police Begins Five-Day Training Module on NDPS Case Investigation
Anantnag, September 7, 2026: Anantnag Police on Monday commenced a five-day specialised training module on the investigation of cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at the Conference Hall, DPO Anantnag.
The training programme is aimed at strengthening the professional skills and investigative capabilities of police personnel handling NDPS cases.
During the five-day module, participants will receive training on various aspects of NDPS investigations, including legal procedures, documentation, seizure and sampling procedures, collection and preservation of evidence, preparation of case files and other investigation-related requirements.
The programme focuses on ensuring that cases registered under the NDPS Act are investigated in a professional, scientific and legally sound manner, thereby improving the quality of investigation and strengthening the prosecution of drug-related offences.
Anantnag Police said such specialised training will help investigating personnel follow prescribed legal and procedural requirements effectively and contribute towards more robust action against drug trafficking and related offences.
