D.H. Pora, August 29: Minister for School Education, Higher Education, Social Welfare, Health and Medical Education, Sakina Masood Itoo, today laid the foundation stone for the extension of CS Rather Road in D.H. Pora.

The road extension project is being executed by the Public Works Department (PWD) Roads & Buildings, South Kashmir, at an estimated cost of ₹86.27 lakh.

The project is aimed at improving road connectivity and easing transportation for residents of the area. The initiative is expected to strengthen local infrastructure and provide better access for commuters.

During her visit, Minister Sakina Itoo also convened a Public Darbar, where a large number of residents raised their developmental demands, grievances and other public concerns.

The Minister gave a patient hearing to the people and assured them that their genuine issues would be taken up with the concerned departments for early and time-bound resolution.

The foundation stone-laying and public interaction reflected the government’s focus on strengthening grassroots infrastructure and addressing issues directly at the public level.
