Russia Warns Britain of ‘Consequences’ Over Drones Supplied to Ukraine

London, August 18, 2026: Russia has warned Britain that it could face consequences over the supply of drones to Ukraine, after reports that British-made drones were used in strikes against targets inside Russian territory.

The warning was issued by Russia’s embassy in London following a report by The Times that drones manufactured by British companies had been used by Ukraine in long-range attacks on Russia. Moscow accused Britain of becoming increasingly involved in the conflict and said London would have to answer for its actions.

The British Ministry of Defence did not confirm that British-made drones were used in the reported strikes. However, the UK government reiterated its commitment to supporting Ukraine in its defence against Russia.

Britain announced in June that it planned to provide Ukraine with 150,000 drones by the end of 2026 as part of a £752 million funding package.

The latest exchange of warnings comes amid intensified long-range drone and missile attacks between Russia and Ukraine, raising concerns over further escalation involving Western countries supporting Kyiv.
