New Delhi, August 24, 2026: President of India Smt. Droupadi Murmu will confer the National Teachers Awards 2026 on 48 exemplary school teachers at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, on the occasion of Teachers’ Day on September 5.

The awards recognise the outstanding contributions of teachers who have demonstrated excellence, dedication and innovation in the field of school education. The awardees are being honoured for their significant efforts towards improving the quality of education and inspiring students through their exemplary work.

The National Teachers Awards are presented annually to acknowledge and celebrate the contributions of teachers across the country.
