Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) State Women’s Wing President and Habba Kadal MLA Shameema Firdous chaired a meeting of district presidents of the party’s Women’s Wing from across Kashmir at the party headquarters, Nawa-e-Subha, Srinagar.

The meeting reviewed ongoing organisational activities, grassroots outreach and measures to further strengthen the Women’s Wing across the region.

Addressing the meeting, Shameema Firdous highlighted the important role of women in the development of Jammu and Kashmir. She appreciated the Omar Abdullah-led elected government’s focus on women’s empowerment, welfare, employment and greater participation of women in public life.

She urged district-level leadership to maintain close contact with women at the grassroots and work actively to highlight and address their concerns.

Provincial President of the Women’s Wing Kashmir, Er. Sabiya Qadri, along with other senior party functionaries, was also present during the meeting.
