Jammu: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has reportedly booked suspended Jammu and Kashmir Police Inspector Vijay Choudhary under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

The action is understood to be linked to an Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) case involving allegations of disproportionate assets and suspected benami transactions. Choudhary, who is the brother of J&K Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary, had earlier come under investigation in connection with the allegations.

The ED's action is expected to focus on tracing the alleged proceeds of crime and examining financial transactions and assets linked to the case.
