DC Kathua Inspects AgriStack Activities at Jamral Village
Kathua, August 16: Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rajesh Sharma, on Saturday visited Jamral village to inspect the ongoing AgriStack activities and assess their implementation at the field level.

The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) Vishav Partap Singh during the visit.

During the inspection, the DC interacted with field staff engaged in the AgriStack exercise and reviewed the progress of field-level data collection and agricultural assessment activities. He emphasized the need for accurate and timely data collection, stressing that reliable data is crucial for effective planning, monitoring and implementation of agriculture-related interventions.

The ACR informed the Deputy Commissioner that awareness camps are being organised in identified villages across Nagri, Kathua, Marheen, Hiranagar and Dinga Amb tehsils to familiarise local residents with the AgriStack initiative. He further informed that the remaining tehsils of the district will be covered shortly.

The ACR also briefed the DC about the methodology being followed and the progress achieved so far. The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned teams to maintain accuracy, ensure proper documentation and follow the prescribed procedures while conducting field activities.

Local residents present during the visit also interacted with the Deputy Commissioner and shared their feedback. The DC encouraged them to extend full cooperation to the field teams to facilitate the smooth and timely completion of the exercise.

Appreciating the efforts of the field staff, Rajesh Sharma stressed the importance of close coordination among all stakeholders for the effective implementation of AgriStack activities across the district.
