CM Omar Abdullah Reviews Restoration Work at Historic Aali Masjid
Srinagar, August 19, 2026: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today inspected the ongoing conservation and restoration work at the historic Aali Masjid in Eidgah, Srinagar, during his city tour.
The restoration project is being undertaken by the Department of Culture with the aim of preserving the historic and architectural heritage of the centuries-old mosque.
During the inspection, the Chief Minister reviewed the progress of the ongoing work and reaffirmed the immense historical and spiritual significance of Aali Masjid.
He directed the concerned authorities to ensure that the conservation and restoration project is completed in a timely and meticulous manner, while maintaining the historical character and heritage value of the site.
The visit highlighted the Jammu and Kashmir Government’s focus on preserving important cultural and historical landmarks for future generations.
