Army Chief General Dhiraj Seth Arrives in Kathmandu for Three-Day Official Nepal Visit
Kathmandu, August 16: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Dhiraj Seth arrived in Kathmandu on Sunday for a three-day official visit to Nepal, aimed at further strengthening the longstanding defence and military ties between India and Nepal.
During his visit, General Seth is expected to hold discussions with senior Nepalese political and military leadership on matters of mutual interest and defence cooperation. The visit will also provide an opportunity to review ongoing areas of collaboration between the two armies.
India and Nepal share close historical, cultural and military ties, with cooperation between their armed forces including training, joint exercises, military exchanges and humanitarian assistance.
The three-day visit is expected to further deepen bilateral defence relations and enhance cooperation between the Indian Army and the Nepal Army.
