NEW DELHI: Union Minister of State Dr Jitendra Singh said that emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), quantum technology, cybersecurity and digital tools are rapidly transforming governance and public administration.

Addressing participants of a 15-day refresher course for Joint Secretaries, Directors and Deputy Secretaries, Dr Singh stressed the importance of continuous learning and regularly upgrading skills in line with changing technologies.

He said refresher courses should not remain limited to lectures but should provide opportunities for interaction, dialogue and two-way learning between officials and experts.

Dr Jitendra Singh also called upon officers to make effective use of emerging technologies while upholding their constitutional responsibilities and maintaining the dignity and integrity of government institutions.

The refresher course covers a range of subjects, including policy analysis, digital transformation, cybersecurity, public health, education and government communication.

The programme aims to strengthen the capacity of government officials to effectively respond to the rapidly evolving technological and administrative landscape.
