Kathua, July 13: Krishan Kumar Bhardwaj, Chairman of KYASC Society, was felicitated during NABARD's 45th Foundation Day Celebration for the outstanding contribution of KYASC Society as a Producer Organization Promoting Institution (POPI) in promoting and strengthening Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) in Kathua district.

The honour was presented by Shri Chandrashekhar Azad, Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Jammu & Kashmir, in the presence of Shri Vikas Mittal, OIC, NABARD, the General Manager, J&K Bank, and the Chairman, J&K Grameen Bank.

The recognition acknowledged the significant role played by KYASC Society, as a Producer Organization Promoting Institution (POPI), in mobilizing farmers, facilitating the formation and strengthening of FPOs, enhancing institutional capacity, promoting market linkages, and supporting sustainable rural livelihoods.

Receiving the honour, Krishan Kumar Bhardwaj expressed gratitude to NABARD, the Reserve Bank of India, partner institutions, farmers, and the entire KYASC Society team. He reaffirmed the Society's commitment to empowering farming communities, strengthening Farmer Producer Organizations, and contributing to inclusive and sustainable rural development across Jammu and Kashmir.
