KISHTWAR POLICE ATTACHES 3RD VEHICLE WORTH ₹1.30 LAKH UNDER NDPS ACT
Kishtwar, July 17, 2026: Continuing its firm action against drug trafficking under the NDPS Act, Kishtwar Police has attached another vehicle involved in narcotics-related activities, marking the third attachment in ongoing investigations.
SSP Kishtwar Sh. Naresh Singh-JKPS, while sharing the details, stated that during the course of investigation of FIR No. 100/2026 of Police Station Kishtwar, registered under Sections 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act, 1985, it came to light that a TVS Ntorq Scooty bearing Registration No. JK17B-7786, worth approximately ₹1.30 lakh, owned by Junaid Ramzan S/o Mohd Ramzan R/o Naghbhatna Kuntwara A/P Malipeth Kishtwar, was used for facilitating the commission of offences under the NDPS Act.
The attachment was carried out by the team of Police Station Kishtwar led by SHO PS Kishtwar, in the presence of an Executive Magistrate, under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Kishtwar.
SSP Kishtwar reiterated that under the ongoing NashaMuktBharatAbhiyaan, Kishtwar Police is committed to dismantling the entire drug trafficking ecosystem by targeting not only drug peddlers but also the assets and proceeds linked with such crimes. He further emphasized that strict legal action shall continue against all those involved in drug trafficking and related offences.
