Samba: June 11, 2026:  Continuing crackdown on illegal mining, Samba Police has seized 08 vehicles including 06 dumpers across the district which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material. 

Police teams headed by SHO PS Purmandal, SHO PS Samba, Incharge Police Post Mansar of PS Samba, Incharge Police Post Rajpura of PS Ghagwal and Incharge BPP Koulpur of PS Ramgarh while performing patrolling duty in their jurisdictional areas have seized six dumpers bearing registration Nos. JK21F-1853, JK02CW-6944, JK21H-6739, JK21E-9998, JK21L-2586, JK21G-7817, a tractor trolley bearing registration No. JK21J-6711 and a tractor trolley without registration Nos. which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material in the area.

The above-mentioned vehicles have been seized by Samba Police and handed over to the Geology & Mining Department Samba for further legal action.
