Srinagar, May 30: In a dramatic accident at the treacherous Zojila Pass along the Srinagar-Leh Highway, a truck plunged into a deep gorge after reportedly skidding off the narrow mountain road. The driver narrowly escaped death by jumping out of the vehicle moments before it fell into the valley.

According to reports, the accident took place near Pani Matha in the Zojila sector when the 14-wheeler truck lost control and veered off the road. The truck rolled down into the gorge and was completely damaged in the crash.

Eyewitness videos of the incident have gone viral on social media, showing the vehicle plunging down the mountainside. The driver's quick decision to jump from the truck is believed to have saved his life. Reports said the driver and conductor escaped unhurt in what many described as a miraculous escape.
